For a group, plan on roughly 45 minutes a person for hair and makeup, and tell me the time you need to walk out the door rather than the time you’d like to start — I work backwards from it. In-studio suits one or two people; for anything larger I come to you with the full kit. Corporate and content days often need touch-ups held through the afternoon, which is worth saying up front so the timings allow for it. Recent event work is on the showcase.

Booking a mobile hair & makeup artist Sydney: common questions
Do you travel, or is it in-studio?
Both. In-studio suits one or two people. For anything larger, a mobile hair & makeup artist Sydney hosts can have come to them is usually easier, and I bring the full kit.
How long does a group take?
Roughly 45 minutes a person for hair and makeup. Tell me when you need to walk out the door and I work backwards from it.
Do you stay for touch-ups?
For corporate days and content shoots, often yes. It is worth saying up front so the timings allow for it.
How much notice do you need?
Event work needs at least 72 hours in the booking system, though earlier is always safer for a Saturday.

How a group morning is scheduled
Groups run on a schedule I build backwards from the time you need to be out the door, not forwards from when I arrive. Hair and makeup alternate so nobody sits idle, and whoever is photographed first is finished first.
Allow about 45 minutes a person for hair and makeup together. Six people is comfortable in a morning on my own; beyond that I bring a second artist rather than compress the timings, because the last person in the chair should not get a faster version of the same look.
Tell me the room you will be getting ready in if you know it. Natural light near a window is ideal, a kitchen bench beats a bathroom, and a single power point within reach is usually all I need.
Everything is available in-studio or mobile, so the same look can be done wherever suits the day. If you are not sure which way round works better for your group, send the location and the time you need to be ready and I will tell you which one I would recommend.
